The cameras are all focused on you; the center of the scene. Not just in character, you are the character. The part to play is singularly yours. Written just for you.You are met with silence.
No barking orders from the director. No call to action that you need to become this version of yourself. The demand to act fills your mind, but the script pages hold no words.Your past has helped to mold you into what you are, forced upon you the skills required to hone your craft. That same past has scraped deep furrowing scars into you, not on the outside where the world can see, but in a place buried so deep within that it has become shapeless. You push those memories down but let the experiences drive you into who, or what, you must play.Darkness surrounds as you stand silently in the spotlight, the only sounds to be heard over your heartbeat are the distant breaking of waves against the hull and the sound of cameras pointed in your direction preserving this moment for eternity.A deep and commanding voice rises from the distance.

Peel back the layers and there's a clear connective tissue tying Layers of Fear 2 and its predecessor together. Both games are centered around an artist gradually losing their grip on reality. May 28, 2019 Layers of Fear 2 is never better than when it ramps up this cloying, almost paralysing atmosphere, leading you through claustrophobic corridors.
Classical, ominous soundtrack - An original score composed by Arkadiusz Reikowski, conducted by George Strezov, and performed by the Sofia Session Orchestra. This review is tailored more toward those who have played the first LoF and are deciding whether to get the sequel. Let me start off by saying that the main reason why I liked the first LoF was the fact that there weren't any 'monsters' that you had to run and hide from. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for LoF2.
While these chase sequences are not that abundant or difficult, they still took away from my overall enjoyment. Now, some players may not mind this change as the first game was considered by many to be a 'walking simulator.' I, however, did not mind that pace. So, with that in mind, if you do not mind this change in gameplay, then by all means, buy LoF2. The other aspects of the game (story, sountrack, style, etc.) will not disappoint. And if you have played the first one, then you don't need me to tell you that.
All in all, LoF2 resembles the replayability of the first game if you can ignore the unfortunate chase sequences. It's a dream come true that I was able to play a sequel to my all time favorite horror game! That being said, I'm unsure if I love it more than the original. I do love it very much though, hence my 5 star rating. The first game had virtually nothing that I disliked. That entire game is extremely consistent throughout. This sequel has higher highs, and WAY lower lows. In it's most creative moments, I would almost cry because I'd think to myself, 'Here is a horror game that is doing something which manages to surpass everything in my favorite horror game.' But then, there are the chase sequences. They're all trial and error and a couple of them are downright frustrating and stupid.
My one complaint for the first game was the lack of a threat. They attempted to rectify that here, and it pains me to say that it doesn't quite work. That and the fact that Act Three is repetitive are my only complaints.I recommend it! Submitted on 5/29/2019 Review title of TrancEGOThinking About It More CriticallyThe game obviously has great graphics, design, sound, and narration, but there are a lot more flaws that hurt the game. Firstly, this is a horror game and the scares are very predictable.Forced to turn arond. SCARE,.walk past mannequin.
SCARE. The gameplay just becomes very repetitive and it feels like you spend 10% of the game opening doors. The chase sequences are also very lazy and stem from Trial and Error.
You run down a hallway and the door you try to open is locked and you are dead. There are also some puzzles and one in particular in Act 2 is TRASH. It's just you doing some math on a clock and I have no idea why it's in the game.
There are 5 acts in LOF2 and acts 3&4 are the only good ones because they have cool setpieces and moments with true horror. Act 1 is OK, Act 2 is horrible and repetitive, and Act 5 is mostly reusing old areas. The story falls flat at the end of the game and isn't as LaYeReD as the first one. Because of this, the ending comes off as underwhelming.
Submitted on 5/29/2019 Review title of zombiekong03Just play the first Layers of FearFails to live up to the fear, storytelling, and atmosphere of the original Layers of Fear. Scares are predictable and fail to provide any sense of dread or surprise.
Multiple, if not all, forced chase sequences are reliant on trial and error to complete. Story is confusing and fails to envoke any sort of emotion. Your big story choices are not shown to have long term consequences. I was very excited for this game and the original Layers of Fear is one of my favorite horror games of all time for it's amazing, compelling, and depressing story, phenomenal atmosphere, and well thought out scares and puzzles. But, unfortunately, Layers of Fear 2 fails to even match, none the less surpass the original in every aspect and left me feeling like I just spent $30 to play a bad fangame of the first Layers of Fear with elements from Outlast 2. If you want an interesting and terrifying psychological horror game, just play the original Layers of Fear. Submitted on 6/21/2019 Review title of trollman237Great Game.
5 StarsPhenomenal game. Even on my 3rd playthrough it was still as scary as can be.

Amazing story and same great disorientating game mechanics as the original. My only complaint is that starting in about chapter 3 some doors take a bit to open which can be slightly annoying but it doesnt happen incredibly often. Other than the doors loading thing. It was an amazing game and I would recommend this game to anyone as well as the first one.
The Layers of Fear games are easily my favorite and anyone can see why.
